Stephen Alerhand MD is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He serves as Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Division and its Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography (AEMUS) Fellowship. After his undergraduate graduation from Brown University with an Sc.B. in Neuroscience, Dr. Alerhand completed both his Emergency Medicine Residency and Ultrasound Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He has been bestowed with institutional, regional, and national awards in emergency ultrasound education, including from the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.
