James J. Bernitt, P.E., has a Master of Engineering Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and a Bachelor of Engineering from The Cooper Union. Mr. Bernitt is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the States of New York and Connecticut. He ha over 30 years’ experience in design development and failure analysis of electrical and electronic systems., trip/slip and falls and other injuries. He has been president of his own consulting engineering firm since 1993. The firm is involved in the design and development for electrical, electronics and embedded software products as well as forensic engineering activities. Mr. Bernitt also has experiencewith forensic investigations of electrical fires, hazardous electrical conditions , trip/slip and falls and a variety of equipment malfunctions and injuries.
