i have 36 years of experience in both private practice and academics, I was full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in GI at Columbia University's Harlem Hospital Center before moving to Downstate Health Sciences University, where I served as Director of Medical Education. I was awarded "Teacher of the Year" by the GI fellows in 2016, and have been consistently praised by faculty and fellows for my communicative capabilities in teaching.
During my 28 years of private practice, I designed and built my own office/endoscopy center on an empty piece of land. My endoscopy unit was credentialed by the Joint Commission. I performed five endoscopic procedures in my unit each morning, before going to the hospital. There I would perform inpatient endoscopies, including ERCP, and of course see consultations.
