Joseph E. Snavely, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon with fellowship training at Northwestern University in Chicago in both neurosurgical and orthopaedic spine surgery. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at Orlando Health, including a year serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Snavely has special training in minimally invasive spine surgery, surgical and non-surgical treatment of degenerative spinal disorders and scoliosis deformity, as well as complex revision spine surgery. He was one of the first surgeons in the country to use 7D Surgical image guided navigation. 7D is now routinely utilized for safer and more efficient spine surgery, while reducing radiation exposure.
