Dr. Courtney is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction and sports medicine. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery in 2011 at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, NY, he further advanced his expertise by completing a fellowship at the Insall-Scott-Kelly Institute for Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstruction. Dr. Courtney began his career in academic medicine, working as a faculty member at Montefiore Medical Center for four years before moving to Florida in 2016, where he has been in practice ever since. His clinical work includes performing over 500 complex hip and knee surgeries annually. Dr. Travers is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult reconstruction (joint replacement) and is on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as the Director of the Orthopaedic Robotics and Navigation Program at UPenn and is the lead educator for the arthroplasty training curriculum - providing clinical/intraoperative training for medical students, residents, and fellows. He is also the Lead Orthopaedic Quality and Safety Officer at Pennsylvania Hospital. His clinical interests and expertise include total hip replacement, total knee replacement, navigation and robotic technologies, complex revision knee and hip replacement surgery, periprosthetic fracture, periprosthetic infection, and general orthopaedics/trauma.
