Afterwards, I continued working at Miami Valley for two more years before moving on to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) in Roanoke, VA where I helped start a new medical school and emergency medicine residency and continued my work in educational and clinical research, clinical simulation, as well as peer review and journal editing. Clinically, I saw patients in the emergency departments at CRMH, a Level 1 Trauma Center, as well as a rural hospital, Carilion Franklin Memorial.
