I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice. I have 6 degrees in nursing and midwifery. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Registered Nurse. I am certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board, North American Registry of Midwives, and National Certification Corporation. I am also certified in electronic fetal monitoring, basic life support, neonatal transitioning (STABLE), and neonatal resuscitation (NRP). I am skilled to first assist in cesarean surgeries, and perform limited OB-GYN sonography. I have been a clinical assistant professor at an academic medical center. I launched and directed a faculty midwife service for midwives to educate OBGYN residents and medical students at another large facility. I have personally taught OBGYN residents, medical students, midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, and doulas in clinical and didactic settings. I am a board certified Ob/Gyn that has practiced since 2009. I work in a group practice outside Nashville, TN. I also practiced prior to this in Illinois and held some leadership positions. I currently practice both obstetrics and gynecology. This includes prenatal care, postpartum care, high risk pregnancies, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, induction of labor, VBAC/VTOL, and postpartum hemorrhage among others. I hold a certification from the National Certification Corporation in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. I also hold a certification in menopause as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner. I see patients with gynecological concerns both in the office and the hospital. I also see patients with menopause concerns and hormone replacement therapy. I perform gynecological surgery for multiple diagnosis. I have taken SEAK courses.
