Dr. Scarlett Karakash, MD, is a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist with more than a decade of clinical experience caring for high-risk pregnancies. She completed both her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Montefiore Einstein in Bronx, New York. Following fellowship, Dr. Karakash joined Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she served as Director of Obstetrics of a busy high risk clinical service. During her tenure, she co-founded the Placenta Accreta Spectrum Program and established the fetal echocardiography program within the Perinatal Diagnostics Center.
