About Professor Paul Werfel Professor Paul Werfel brings more than four decades of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) expertise to his clients, learners, and colleagues. A nationally recognized educator, international speaker, and published author, he has written over 50 articles, magazine columns, and book chapters, and has been a practicing New York State and nationally registered paramedic since 1983.
