Dr. Ashu Guru is a former university professor and software scientist with approximately 25 years of experience in software engineering and information technology. Early in his career, Dr. Guru served as an application specialist at a major supercomputing center, where he supported high-performance, data-intensive applications for scientific research and was an affiliate of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Dr. Guru later served as Director of Research Strategy and faculty at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he led interdisciplinary software initiatives and taught courses in data science, systems engineering and applied computing. He subsequently transitioned into software development roles at post-secondary institutions in California, where he designed and maintained enterprise-grade applications supporting critical academic and administrative operations.
