Dr. Alexis J. Carras is a board-certified anesthesiologist with over 25 years of full-time clinical practice and more than 20 years of experience as a consultant and expert witness in anesthesiology. He has reviewed over 75 medico-legal cases and has provided expert testimony in approximately 15 depositions as well as in court. His clinical expertise spans all major subspecialties of anesthesiology, including high-risk surgical settings and outpatient procedures, and he has held multiple leadership positions in his practice as well as at the state level. His recent expert witnessing expertise includes patient selection and preparation, nerve injury, surgical complications, and airway loss. He serves as both a plaintiff and defendant expert.
