I have practiced obstetrics and gynecology for the past 13 years. In the last ten years I have specialized in hospital based obstetrics and gynecology. This includes care of women with high risk pregnancies requiring hospital care, labor and delivery of both low and high risk women, obstetrical emergencies, postpartum care, emergency department consultations and emergency gynecologic surgery, as well as in-hospital obstetrics and gynecology consultations. I participated in the opening of a new obstetric emergency department at the facility where I work, and continue to see patients there. I also provide prenatal care for both low and high risk pregnancies in the hospital clinic. I have an interest in improving the quality of medical care and have been a member of a hospital wide clinical quality committee for the past three years.
