Dr. MacGill is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery and serves on their Case Review Committee. He is also a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) by The American Board of Wound Management. He is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), a professional society of more than 8,000 foot and ankle surgeons. He is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital. Additionally, he is a Section Editor for the peer-reviewed Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery. Dr. MacGill grew up in Tampa and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. He then attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois.
