Don is the founder of Next Step Solutions, Inc., an independent security management consulting firm established in 2014. He conducts security risk assessments, writes policies and procedures, assists in developing security personnel, and provides assistance in the procurement of security products and services. He also provides expert opinions and testimony for plaintiff and defense cases involving security negligence, inadequate security, and premises liability. Don is board-certified in Security Management, having earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification through ASIS International in 2015. Don is a current mentor instructor in the annual CPP Review Course, conducted in Los Angeles each year. Don has provided mentoring in the course for the past ten years with a focus on litigation support.
