I am a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic trauma surgeon in clinical practice since 2009. I have spent my entire career at level-1 trauma centers caring for the most critically injured patients. In addition to general orthopedic surgery, I have expertise in all fractures of the pelvis and extremities that do not involve the spine. I have additional clinical expertise in fracture related issues such as non-unions, mal-unions, limb lengthenings and deformity corrections. Since 2007 I have been employed full time as an orthopedic surgeon at a large level 1 trauma center. I serve as the director of orthopedic trauma and have performed over 600 cases per year for 15+ years. I manage acute injuries to the upper and lower extremities surgically and non operatively and deal with the long term sequelae of these injuries including infection, nonunion, and nerve injury. As part of my role, I educate and train medical and physician assistant students. I also oversee quality control of the orthopedic trauma program and attend and participate in monthly quality meetings and M&M reviews. I also participate in local and national meetings as an educator and instructor.
