Here's the deal: When choosing an expert to review the medical records of a client or potential client in the medical malpractice arena, there are times when an attorney may seek the services of a "highly credentialed" physician, with tons of publications, university affiliations, etc... (I get that, I do.) But for every case like that there are probably 100 cases that simply require a quick, yet still expert, opinion on the merits of a particular medical event or scenario that might lead to filing a claim or, equally important, not filing! Robert Freed, MD Univ. of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/UPMC

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology - Emergency Radiology, Abdominal Imaging, Body Imaging, Thoracic Imaging
Radiology is too large of a field to be an expert in its entirety. 100% of my clinical practice is dedicated to ER imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. This has allowed me to become a true expert, rather than a jack of all trades. Board-certified in Radiology, I also have fellowship training in both Body Imaging and Emergency Radiology. My particular interest is “incidentalomas” or incidental findings found while imaging for another purpose, such as lung nodules and colon masses. Examples of cases I work on include missed pulmonary embolism, lung cancer, appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, abdominal malignancy such as colon cancer that was missed, bowel obstructions... more or less, anything in the chest, abdomen, or pelvis is well within my "sandbox". I work in one of the largest academic Emergency Radiology divisions in the US, servicing 15 UPMC-affiliated hospital ER’s across Western Pennsylvania, including 2 level-one, 2 level-two and 6 certified str...
