Dr Condie was trained in adult, child and forensic psychiatry from 1983 until 1989 at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. In addition, during his forensic psychiatry fellowship he was a visiting fellow at Harvard Law School under the sponsorship of Dr Alan Stone and Dr Thomas Gutheil. He has practiced child and adult psychiatry as well as forensic psychiatry in Massachusetts for 42 years including his training, and has served as President of both the New England Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. He is the Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. I can also consult in California and Massachusetts per statute. My Ph.D in Psychology is from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earned in 1979. My doctoral research entitled Criminal Behavior and Arousal, focused on the causes of criminal behavior, laying the foundation for a career devoted to the clinical and forensic understanding of violence. I have been a treating clinical psychologist, forensic psychologist, and expert witness for over 40 years.
