I was born and raised in California and grew up as the fifth generation living and farming on our family homestead. I have been blessed with the opportunity to experience the benefits and joys of living in central California with an extensive multi-generational network of family, friends and business contacts. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from CSU Fresno in 1994. I continued on for a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from SDSU and completed my PhD in Applied Mechanics and Engineering Sciences at UC San Diego in 1999. Since then, I have gained 13 years of full-time experience in the field of Forensic Engineering. I built my own consulting engineering firm and provided Expert Witness services globally as a Senior Investigator and Researcher while teaching part time at the university level. I have 44 years of hands-on technical experience in the traffic engineering field, running my own consulting firm for 34 of those years. I am a recognized national expert in traffic signal operation, timing, design, and construction and am also very proficient in pavement marking design, roadway signing, and work zone traffic control. However, I am not an accident reconstruction expert. I have participated in over 260 cases nationwide with many of these cases involving deposition and mediation testimony and a number of these cases going all the way to trial. I have given both live and videotaped testimony and have testified for both the plaintiff and the defense. It should be emphasized that I am a practicing engineer and that my expert testimony work constitutes only a portion of my engineering practice.

Dr Samuel Kleinman is a double board certified forensic toxicologist; he is a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and a Toxicological Chemist certified by the National Registry of Certified Chemists. Dr Kleinman served as both the Deputy Bureau Chief and the Bureau Chief for the central forensic toxicology lab for the state of New Mexico. In this role he participated in more than 40 trials including state district court as well as federal court in New Mexico. He is an expert in laboratory accreditation, method development, validation, and piloted the transition of the New Mexico lab towards ISO 17025 compliance. Dr Kleinman is the Chief of Toxicology for the Hamilton County Coroner in Ohio. Dr Kleinman has expertise in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, impaired driving, sexual assault and blood alcohol interpretation.
