Dr. Burgoon served as a senior leader in various roles from leading teams of biostatisticians and bioinformaticians in designing and analyzing toxicology studies, to supervising toxicologists and public health scientists in the development of toxicological and dose-response assessments in support of the US EPA Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS). At the US Army, Dr. Burgoon led classified and unclassified programs and projects with a focus on the effects of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high yield explosives (CBRNE) on human health, ecological and agriculture systems.
