He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1978. Following an internship at Malden Hospital affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Lusby pursued pre-residency studies in Basic and Clinical Sciences for Ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School.
