I am a double board-certified physician in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. I have 15 years of clinical experience working in large, high acuity inpatient and outpatient practice settings in the Southeastern United States. I've served in leadership and educational roles within multiple large health systems and I'm an active member of two national societies within my medical specialties. Michael Donnino, MD trained in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care resulting in board certification in all three areas. He is currently attending physician of emergency medicine and critical care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA) and Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is a well-established expert and known internationally in emergency and critical care having published over 300 manuscripts in this area and leading two large research groups. He has been the senior author on the American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) guidelines as well as first or senior author on a variety of position papers. Dr. Donnino holds an active medical license in over 20+ states owing to telemedical work. He has served as an expert witness for a variety of hospital-based cases over the past 7-8 years. I obtained my PhD in human physiology from Auburn University in 2008. While there I performed and published research regarding control and regulation of growth hormone and IGF-1 as well as regulation of the HPA axis. I obtained my medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012 and subsequently completed Emergency Medicine residency there in 2015. I am Board Certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine as of 2018. I have been a practicing emergency medicine attending physician since 2012. I am employed by a physician group in Norman, Oklahoma and am a member of the core faculty for the Emergency Medicine residency program affiliated with Oklahoma State University. I serve as the Research Director for the residency program. I opened a private medical spa in 2017 that I own and oversee that performs noninvasive cosmetic procedures, hormone replacement, medical weight loss, etc.
