He completed his residency at Tufts New England Medical Center and fellowship in Neuroradiology from Georgetown University Hospital. He has a Masters in Electrical Engineering (Biomedical Engineering). He has been practicing for more than 20 years in many different capacities. He has owned and operated several different radiology companies and is presently doing teleradiology. He is licensed in half the states in this country. He has worked in both small and big hospitals, academic institutions and research facilities. He has experience in administrative functions such as quality assurance, chief of radiology and chief of staff.

A resident of San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Ghitis is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology (certificate of added qualification). He has been involved in numerous cases as a radiologist expert for both plaintiff and defense, providing independent imaging interpretation and expert testimony in Texas and other states. Dr. Ghitis has worked at three Level I Trauma tertiary care centers during his training and practice. He currently maintains a busy private practice as a remote reader for outpatient imaging centers with the majority of his work hours dedicated to clinical radiology.
