I am an Emergency Medicine (EM) physician and have been practicing EM full-time for over 15 years. I currently work in freestanding Emergency Departments (EDs) in both urban and rural areas, which are EDs not attached to a hospital. I am board certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and also hold a Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) with a specialization on subjects such as hypothermia, frostbite, heat stroke, altitude illness, and animal attacks/envenomations. I am currently a candidate for a Diploma in Dive & Marine Medicine (DiDMM) with a further focus on dive injuries and marine medicine. Dr. Phillips is an Clinical Associate Professor of emergency medicine practicing in Philadelphia, PA. She achieved her B.S. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Brain and Cognitive Sciences. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and completed her medical school and Emergency Medicine Residency training at Vanderbilt University. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Wilderness Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where she spent several months rotating at a high altitude clinic in Nepal and providing disaster relief during the 2015 Nepal earthquake.
