Dr. Lisa Stirling is a board certified dermatologist with expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has practiced clinical dermatology for the past 11 years and telemedicine for the last 5 years. She enjoys caring for patients with complex skin conditions and uses multiple treatment modalities, including topical regimens, light therapy, laser, systemic medications, and biologics. She is specialized in treating patients with skin cancer, including melanoma. Dr. Stirling believes in compassionate care and a patient centered treatment approach, including lifestyle strategies to improve outcomes and focusing on overall wellness. Dr. Stirling earned her undergraduate degree in biology at St. Ben’s University in Minnesota, graduating with the distinction of summa cum laude. I am an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at Northwestern University. I have over five years of experience as a general dermatologist and patch testing expert. My clinical practice focuses on identifying allergies patients have to personal care products and workplace exposures. These allergies include hair dye, makeup, shampoo, gloves, medicines, jewelry, metal implants, tattoos, medical devices, and occupational chemicals. I am also frequently involved in occupational medicine and disability cases due to chemical allergies and toxicity. Beyond allergies, I treat and manage common dermatologic conditions including hair loss, skin cancer, melanoma, acne, rosacea, warts, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, and eczema.
