I am a former RN who wanted to learn more and be able to do more for her patients. I subsequently went back to college for my medical education. I did my residency through the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System. I am dually board certified in Osteopathic Internal Medicine (AOBIM) and Osteopathic Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). I am a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists (FACOI) and a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). I have extensive experience traveling and I have worked in a variety of locations including many rural and underserved areas as well as in community hospitals and tertiary centers. I have extensive experience with the healthcare system as it relates to doctors, PAs, NPs and nurses - across a wide variety of levels of care in the ED and in the hospital. Licensed in Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, New York, Ohio and Virginia (Guam would need to be reactivated).

Board certified emergency medicine physician with over 16 years of clinical experience. Currently practicing full time in Georgia. Prior experience as an expert witness. Extensive knowledge in medical staff leadership as a medical director, chief of emergency services, medical executive committee member, hospital board member, and former chief-of-staff. Additional training in medical staff rules, regulations, and bylaws as well as EMTALA compliance. Knowledgeable in the application of hospital policies and procedures. Currently overseeing approximately 25 physicians and 20 midlevel providers at three emergency department locations and one urgent care location. Experience includes both adult and pediatric patients, emergency department and urgent care patients, and work in a designated trauma center facility.

I obtained my PhD in human physiology from Auburn University in 2008. While there I performed and published research regarding control and regulation of growth hormone and IGF-1 as well as regulation of the HPA axis. I obtained my medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012 and subsequently completed Emergency Medicine residency there in 2015. I am Board Certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine as of 2018. I have been a practicing emergency medicine attending physician since 2012. I am employed by a physician group in Norman, Oklahoma and am a member of the core faculty for the Emergency Medicine residency program affiliated with Oklahoma State University. I serve as the Research Director for the residency program. I opened a private medical spa in 2017 that I own and oversee that performs noninvasive cosmetic procedures, hormone replacement, medical weight loss, etc.
