Dr. Freedman completed her pediatric critical care fellowship in 2011 at UCSD/Rady Children's Hospital. This was followed by an additional year of training in pediatric cardiology at UCLA/Mattel Children's Hospital. She went on to work for 1.5 years in a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit before moving on to a combined medical/surgical and cardiac pediatric intensive care unit. Her locums tenens work experience at multiple hospitals in multiple states has familiarized Dr. Freedman with a variety of approaches to, and unit models for, providing care to critically ill infants and children.
