40 years at Ford Motor conceiving and implementing several industry 1st / high tech electronic features (i.e. Lamp Outage, Electronic Fuel Injection Module, and Touch Screen display). Education includes MIT electrical and mechanical engineering (BSEE), Master’s degree in Product Development (Systems Engineering/MBA) from University of Detroit-Mercy, as well as completing Doctoral curriculum in Engineering (ABD) from UDM. Past 17 years were spent teaching and coaching engineers in the proper engineering process disciplines and pointing out failure mechanisms in time to avoid them. One example was the attempt to release the Heated Windshield Washer module that was already in production at General Motors (GM). I saw the design was weak and would likely cause a fire and forced the supplier to re-design it.
