Dr. Brown focuses on the functional and economic characteristics and failures of public and private pedestrian environments. He has consulted and testified in 1) premise liability cases involving wrongful death, and pedestrian-automobile and slip, trip and fall injuries; 2) public space and public forum cases involving peddlers and vendors; 3) significant architectural copyright cases; 4) a variety of owner-builder-designer-user disputes; 4) eminent domain access takings; 5) problem property analysis. The spatial analysis methodology he developed applies to all of these and has successfully undergone Daubert review. He has testified in small and large cases including those involving more than $50,000,000 in damages.
