Dr Fogelson is a national expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with a keen mind for clinical care. His career path has included academic appointments at several major universities, most recently at Emory University where he was the Associate Chief of Service for Obstetrics and Gynecology for Grady Memorial Hospital, and Chief of Service for Gynecology. Dr Fogelson has extensive experience in teaching and explaining complex ideas in medicine to both medical learners and laypeople, making him an outstanding expert witness that will make complex medical ideas clear to a jury and to retaining attorneys. Dr Fogelson's clinical expertise is focused on minimally invasive techniques for complex gynecologic surgery, including the use of robotics. He has a strong reputation in the management of endometriosis, and now runs a referral based practice focused on the care of this condition in Portland, OR. He also has extensive experience in surgical and medical abortion, including second trimester procedures. Dr Fogelson is proud offer litigation support and consultative services to both plaintiff and defense attorneys. In expert witness work, Dr Fogelson focuses on providing interpretation of difficult medical information, interpretation of a given case in light of both typical and expert care, as well as thorough exploration of the academic literature as it may pertain to a given case. Dr Fogelson can also offer deep insight into cases that may occur within an academic environment, and how the involvement of trainees in care may affect a case, including review not only of care standards but also trainee supervision standards. Dr Fogelson is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr Fogelson lectures on a national and international basis, and participates in a fellowship program for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
