Board-certified industrial hygienist (IH) with more than 35 years of experience in comprehensive health and safety practice specializing in the Department of Energy, Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA), and Washington's Hanford Site Exposure Presumptive Law (claims), Occupational Safety and Health Administrative (OSHA) general industry (29 CFR 1910) and construction (29 CFR 1926) compliance, environmental remediation, and construction experience. Contracted as an IH expert for Washington State Attorney General's Office in worker exposure cases and State legislation challenged by the Federal Government in Federal court. Currently serving as IH expert in more than 50 cases involving worker exposures at the DOE Hanford site. Specialized project and legal experience researching, developing expert reports, and testifying in worker retrospective occupational exposure assessments, qualitative agent exposure assessments, radiological dose reconstruction, and causation for illness compensation court cases related to former defense weapons facilities and DOE national laboratories workers. He has served as the corporate health and safety director for private companies with multimillion-dollar projects for government and commercial clients such as the Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Department of Defense (DOD) sites. He has managed and supervised health, safety, and health physics personnel and provided project management, planning, regulatory support, and oversight to numerous environmental remediation, waste management, construction, demolition, & radiological decontamination and decommissioning. Former Chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Law Committee, Consultants Special Interest Committee, and previous member of the Indoor Environmental Air Committee and Environmental Affairs Committee, Member Health Physics Society, Associate Member American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine. He has served as both a plaintiff and defense expert in accident and injury cases, worker exposures, workers compensation, water damage/microbial exposure, OSHA regulatory interpretation, prepared expert reports/opinions, technical review other expert's reports and opinions with summary evaluation for counsel.
