Additional Information

I am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I have authored and co-authored 5 book chapters on wound healing. For twelve years, I was the Medical Director for the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine in Lynchburg, Virginia. I have served as an expert witness for litigation involving hospitals, nurses and physicians in the areas of pressure ulcer prevention and treatment in both the hospital and long term care environments. As part of my job as Medical Director I helped develop (with Nursing) a system wide Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program which dramatically reduced the incidence of hospital acquired pressure ulcers. I have recently relocated to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina but maintain a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia and still work forty to fifty hours per month as a physician provider at the Centra Medical Group Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine in Lynchburg, Virginia. I am also a physician surveyor for the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society Facility Accreditation Program. I participate in five to seven facility accreditation surveys nation wide per year. I have reviewed cases and given opinions for both plaintiff and defendant counsel in approximately 50/50 distribution. I can provide a current Curriculum Vitae and fee schedule upon request.
