FORENSIC EXPERIENCE Dr. Kasraie has more than thirty-five years of experience in providing expert testimony to support complex legal cases in federal, state, and international courts. When necessary, he has the knowledge and the experience of utilizing the latest technology in simulation, modeling, testing, and engineering analyses to evaluate and determine the root cause of failures. In many complex cases, he has used finite element technology (no issues with the Daubert Challenge in the U.S. courts) to show the failure mechanism. He is well experienced in providing forensic support related to consumer safety product issues. He has successfully testified in international arbitration in the NYC American Arbitration Association (regarding the destruction of the priceless 15th Century Nude Adam statue in the NYC Metropolitan Museum of Arts), London, and Singapore. INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE He has many years of professional experience in mechanical design, analysis, troubleshooting, failure analysis, reverse engineering, simulation, modeling, & finite element analysis. He is well experienced in areas of structural, fatigue, fracture mechanics, crack growth calculations, and vibration. He has performed many analyses and failure evaluations of machinery and high-temperature vessels in accordance with the ASME Codes, European Code EN-13445, and British Code BS 5500. He is experienced in linear and non-linear computer-aided design and failure analysis using various codes such as ANSYS.
