Over 30 years of experience in testing, usage, specification, design, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, marketing, development, engineering, application, problem solving and training involving threaded fasteners. Have worked on dozens of fastener failure investigations and fastener application problems for fastener users, suppliers and manufacturers. 10 years experience as a manager in the fastener distribution business. Developed and presented over one hundred of fastener training sessions in person and via webinar. Fastener Applications - Expert in the use, design, modeling, drafting, documentation, failure modes, quality assurance and manufacturing of threaded fasteners and fastener related components, to include, materials, chemistry, thread selection, head and drive selection, heat treatment, plating, coating, corrosion, dissimilar metals, hydrogen embrittlement detection and prevention, torque-tension relationships, physical testing, certification and dimensional inspection. Fastener Specifications - Expert in the interpretation, application, substitution and maintenance of fastener and related specifications involving all aspects of fastener dimensions, threads, materials, coatings and platings, testing and inspection, quality, and manufacturing methods. Member of ASTM, ISO, ASTM and RCSC Fastener Standards Committees.
