Educated and trained at top-rated universities and hospitals, board-certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, and served as a Flight Surgeon and Emergency Physician in the United States Air Force. Experienced at every level of emergency care, ranging from high-acuity academic level-one trauma centers, STEMI and comprehensive stroke centers, to smaller community and rural hospitals.In addition to clinical practice, years of experience in administrative roles and faculty positions at Duke University Medical Center and the University of Miami School of Medicine have contributed to my medical expertise. At present, I am a practicing physician at the busiest stroke center in Los Angeles County, California and am experienced with the current best-practices in the emergency care of both hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. I have served as an expert witness for both the defense and plaintiffs in state and federal court, reviewing case materials, preparing written reports, and testifying at deposition and trial. I am board certified and residency trained in both Emergency and Internal Medicine, and as such, can serve as an expert witness for either specialty in states requiring "same specialty" certification.
