Dr. Chris McGraw MD, PhD is a physician-scientist with board certification in Neurology and Epilepsy, with active medical license in Massachusetts. He is currently faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in the Neurology Department and the Adult Epilepsy Service, and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School (HMS). He is also affiliated with the Epilepsy Genetics Program at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH). Dr. McGraw's research group involves basic and clinical research to understand the molecular pathways underlying seizure susceptibility in rare and common epilepsies and to identify novel therapies through genetic / pharmacological screening and functional validation of findings from human genetics. Dr. McGraw completed a combined MSTP MD/PhD program at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) with a PhD in Developmental Biology under Dr. Huda Y. Zoghbi, MD in 2012 before completing his MD in 2014. He completed residency in Adult Neurology at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He completed Fellowship training in Adult Epilepsy at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in 2020. Dr. McGraw is supported by multiple NIH and foundation grants related to Epilepsy. He has published 10+ research papers, contributed to multiple textbooks, and acts as ad hoc reviewer for multiple peer-review scientific journals. He is a member of the ILAE Consortium on Complex Epilepsies. Available for expert witness/consultant, case review, depositions and trials.
