Jacob Borgerson received a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Borgerson leads and performs forensic investigations related to the failure, distress, and damage of concrete. He specializes in providing concrete construction expertise in multiple areas including cracking, placement/finishing defects, low compressive strength, construction practices, ready-mix operations, specifications, field testing, and repair of existing structures. Dr. Borgerson is also experienced utilizing a variety of nondestructive evaluation methods to assess building materials and civil infrastructure. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). In addition, Dr. Borgerson is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston-Downtown. He is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
