Dr. McDonald is the Principal Consultant & has worked in public safety for over two decades with his primary area of expertise in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Emergency Preparedness. Dr. McDonald's additional experience includes paramedic care, EMS operations, Standard of Care situations, Falls, Drops, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Dispatch Errors, Emergency Communication, EMS Education, Emergency Vehicle Operations, American Heart Association Education (BLS, CPR, ACLS, PALS), Coordinating both EMT and Paramedic training programs. Dr. McDonald has worked in the private sector, non-profit area of EMS, and for a municipal organization. Dr. McDonald has held field positions as an EMT and Paramedic, EMS Supervisor and Manager positions, and EMS Educator and Clinical Performance Improvement leadership roles. Dr. McDonald was the EMS Educator and Lead Instructor for the Jersey City Medical Center EMS/Hudson County Community College School of Pre-Hospital Medicine's Paramedic Program.Dr. McDonald is a Senior Instructor Coordinator for the Staten Island Emergency Training Center where he coordinates EMT courses, supervises skill Instructors, develops lectures, provides quality assurance, and assists in the training of new instructor candidates. Dr. McDonald also teaches an array of classes offered by the National Association of EMT's & regularly lectures and instructs Physicians and other healthcare providers advanced airway management techniques including Endotracheal Intubation, i-gel device, King Tube, Combitube, LMA's, Needle Decompression, & Needle Cricothyrotomy. Dr. McDonald hold's a BS, MPA, and Ph.D., is a Fellow of the American College of Paramedic Executives, is a Certified Emergency Manager, and a 2014 graduate of the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government's Executive Leadership course "Crisis Leadership in Higher Education." Dr. McDonald is a certified paramedic in New York, New Jersey, and by the National Registry of EMT's
