Dr. Arie Blitz is a UCLA-trained board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon who has held positions in both the academic and private practice spheres during his over twenty years in clinical practice. Dr. Blitz attended Cornell University for his undergraduate degree, Albert Einstein College of Medicine for his medical degree, and Case Western Reserve University for his MBA degree in healthcare finance. In leadership roles throughout his career, Dr. Blitz has taught fellow cardiac surgeons, residents, and medical students. He maintains a popular Youtube channel focused on teaching other cardiothoracic surgeons how to perform a wide variety of complex cardiac surgeries. His Youtube channel, Heartfixer100, has been a valuable resource to patients considering cardiac surgery. As an academic, he has given lectures on a wide variety of cardiothoracic topics at national and international meetings. Dr. Blitz has published over thirty articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on topics ranging from coronary artery surgery to heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Blitz has over 25 state medical licenses and is very familiar with the standard of care in diverse environments, including academic medical centers and rural community hospitals. As a part-time legal student at Purdue Global University, he is very familiar with medicolegal principles, including substantive and procedural requirements for a malpractice action.
