Dr. Tanzid Shams is the Director of Neurology at Johnson City Medical Center at Ballad Health which serves 29 counties in Northeast Tennessee. He is a graduate of Harvard University and St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Pediatrics and Neurology at New York Medical College and Columbia University Medical Center. He has worked on the founding team of several healthcare and social media startup companies and is a nationally recognized expert on sports concussion. He has done consulting work and case reviews for law firms in many medicolegal case. In addition to his consulting work, he enjoys competing in triathlons and tennis tournaments and coaching soccer.
