Dr. Kurt Hubbard is a licensed occupational therapist who is experienced in multiple areas of rehabilitation and case management of individuals of all ages with a variety of disabilities. Dr. Hubbard’s clinical areas of expertise include psychosocial deficits, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions and orthopedic injuries. He has assisted in the preparation of life care plans in cases involving individuals with a variety of disabilities including: chronic pain conditions, orthopedic injuries, visual impairment, multiple traumas, and transitioning back to, or living in the community. The majority of his cases have been in hospital malpractice and related rehabilitation for the past 7 years. He is experienced in recommending adaptations to the home environment to maximize accessibility, orthosis to maximize individual function, and adaptive equipment to maximize independence and caregiver safety. Previously, Dr. Hubbard has directed and owned many hospital and community-based businesses with a focus on helping clients to achieve optimal functioning in therapy and in mental health. In addition, Dr. Hubbard has been an executive director, academic dean, and professor at the University level. Dr. Hubbard has been recognized for his significant contribution to continuing education and professional development in academics and research. He continues to emphasize scholarship in his work as an educator and practitioner and frequently shares his research at a variety of local, national, and international conferences as well as in peer reviewed periodicals.
