Dr. Mohit Girotra is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and currently practices as Consultant Gastroenterologist and Therapeutic Endoscopist at the Digestive Health Institute of Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. His areas of clinical and research focus include pancreas-biliary diseases, GI endoscopy and advanced endoscopic technique/procedures. Dr. Girotra is extensively published in several areas of Gastroenterology (including over 100 manuscripts and 100 abstracts), in addition to being an invited speaker at several national and international conferences. He is a member of AGA, ACG and ASGE and serves on several boards in these national organizations. He currently serves on the editorial board of 2 journals, serves as peer reviewer for more than 10 high-impact journals, and served as a guest co-editor for a two special journal editions focused on advanced endoscopic techniques. Dr. Girotra also serves as abstract reviewer for national (ACG and DDW) conferences, and serves on leadership position on their committees. He serves on the Technology committee of ASGE. He is also the current national secretary for FITE (Foundation for Interventional & Therapeutic Endoscopy). Dr. Girotra has been a presidential poster and podium presenter at several national conferences, awardee of research grants, and a recipient of several clinical, research and teaching awards.
