Wound Care is my professional passion, and I consider myself a Wound Care Nerd, always seeking knowledge in areas of wound care. I offer services including lectures & education (including staff training on site), case review, deposition, and expert witness work as well Dr. Cunanan earned his medical degree from St. Luke’s College of Medicine in the Philippines where he also completed a medical internship. Dr. C completed his residency training in Family Practice at United Hospital Center (UHC) in Clarksburg, WV. He did his wound care and hyperbaric medicine training with Diversified Clinical Services (now Healogics) in Woodlands, TX. Dr. C went on to serve as Medical Director for hyperbaric medicine at UHC. In 2013, he became the first dual certified wound care and hyperbaric medicine physician in West Virginia. Dr. C has also served as Medical Director for Mon General Hospital Wound and Vein Care Center and also for the Advanced Wound Care Center of Somerset Hospital (now UPMC). In 2015, he became the first physician in West Virginia to be awarded the designation of Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. In addition to his clinical obligations, Dr. C has been teaching students (medical, nursing, respiratory therapy) and medical residents for over a decade.
