Have consulted nationally and internationally in employee death cases, including for a steel plant client in SLovakia. Formerly employed by Utica Mutual Insurance Co. after graduation from the Unviersity of Maryland in 1967, then ten years with the federal government. Went into private practice in 1978 and formed Rothfuss Engineering Co. Received multiple awards and letters of commendation during my eight years with the US Navy from various naval activities and the British Royal Navy, and from the US Veterans Administration for my work the last two years of federal service that were spent with the VA, first as a District Safety and Fire Protection Engineer for the Capitol district that included six VA hospitals, office buildings, warehouses and other VA facilities; and secondly as the Manager of Fire Protection for the entire VA hospital system, 176 hospitals.
