Michelle Clarence is an occupational therapist who is experienced in case management and the ongoing rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities transitioning back to, or living in the community with supportive care. Her clinical areas of expertise include traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions. She has also prepared life care plans for individuals with a variety of chronic pain conditions, orthopedic injuries, spinal cord injury, amputations, visual impairment and multiple trauma. Michelle gradually built up her practice as a life care planner in the USA since 2011. Prior to that she practiced as a care and rehabilitation cost consultant in the United Kingdom for 10 years, where her role transitioned to supervision and mentoring of other experts within the consultancy. She enjoys cases involving US citizens injured anywhere the UK or British Overseas Territories, or the reverse situation, as she is familiar with both legal systems. She holds the Certified Aging in Place Specialist designation and is experienced in recommending adaptations to the home environment to maximize accessibility, independence and safety for all disabling conditions.
