Michelle has over 24 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, trenchless engineering, alternatives analysis, and constructability review. Her expertise includes trenchless feasibility review, construction risk analysis, risk mitigation through review of construction documents, trenchless design, and construction support. She has provided geotechnical and trenchless support for claims prevention during construction, bid document preparation, claims review and preparation, and rebuttal contributions during the mediation process for differing site conditions claims. As an active member, former Board of Directors member of the North American Society for Trenchless Technologies (NASTT), and frequent presenter at national conferences, she keeps abreast of cutting edge technologies and approaches. Michelle is a member of the American Society for Civil Engineering (ASCE) committee for updating the Manual of Practice (MOP) for Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), the Trenchless Installation of Pipes (TIPs), and helped update the ASCE MOP for Pipe Ramming (MOP 115). She is also on the committee to write a new MOP for Direct Pipe which is an emerging trenchless technology in North America. Michelle has presented and published on trenchless technologies at local, regional, national, and international conferences including ASCE geotechnical group meetings, ASCE's Pipelines Conference, NASTT's No-Dig Conference , Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association's (PNWCA) Short School, the Underground Construction Technology (UCT) Conference, the Pacific NW Chapter of NASTT's trenchless symposium, American Public Works Association's (APWA) state conferences, and the Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC).
