Additional Information

I have over 21 years of experience in Quality and Manufacturing Processes in the Automotive (OEM, and Tier 2 suppliers), Valves, Plastics, Cosmetics, Castings/Forgings, and Metals (Welding/Stamping) Industries. I have over 13 years of experience working as a Quality Leader at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. The priority of my work was to ensure accurate root cause analysis on completed vehicle or sub-components quality problems related to customer-use, manufacturing, or design related issues. I was responsible in managing the daily quality of completed vehicle manufacturing and over 1100 associated supplier sub-components. I was also the Quality Leader in launching the 2010 Lexus RX 350 (Platinum JD Power Award Winner). I collaborated with the Chief Engineer and Design Team in Japan on all critical parts design/drawing reviews and supplier selection. In this role, I was responsible to develop over 1100 suppliers, determine critical quality control points, and final parts approvals prior to mass production. I developed a Lexus Supplier Quality Manual and lead the training for all North American Suppliers that were new to supplying the first Lexus vehicle built outside of Japan. Other responsibilities included dealer/port visits to investigate chronic field quality concerns, water leak, wind and road noise, incoming chemical inspection lab, and assembly ergonomics issues. Areas of focus included: Stamping and Body Accuracy, Body Welding and Quality, Seating Systems (with also 2 additional years at a Tier 2 Seat Track supplier), Air Bags and Deployment issues, Automatic Rear Hatch Systems, Hood and Hatch Pistons, Sunroofs, Headliners, Instrument Panels, Windows/Window Regulators, Wipers, Doors/Door Locks, Hinges, Bumpers, Head and Tail Lamps, Grills, Spoilers, Plastics, Paint/Color Matching, and Batteries. -Successfully completed discovery work for potential cases, and Expert Witness Reports for Federal Cases related Seating Systems.
