Additional Information

I am a PhD-trained clinician-scientist with 14 years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist. I own a scientific and medical communications company and am particularly versed in explaining complex technical and medical information to a lay audience. My research and clinical experience is primarily in patients with musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular knowledge of orthopaedic biomechanics and joint replacement. I specialize in musculoskeletal physical therapy with a particular focus on hip and knee replacement, osteoarthritis, falls, and biomechanics. I am available for case review and expert opinion reports, deposition and court testimony, documentation auditing, independent PT examinations (IMEs), consulting in standards of care, local site inspection, and research activities, including literature reviews and summaries of evidence. I have authored 45 peer-reviewed papers and 77 abstracts that have been presented at regional, national, and international conferences. I have been an invited speaker for 17 meetings and conferences. A complete list of my publications can be found here: I have been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association for 17 years. I have served on grant review panels and chaired the Early Career Research committee for this organization. I was selected for 3 NIH grant review panels, numerous grant review panels for private and public foundations, and I routinely serve as manuscript reviewer for scientific journals. I served as the physical therapist representative to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons committees for developing Clinical Practice Guidelines for patients with osteoarthritis.
