Additional Information

I am a double board-certified neurologist, specializing in Concussion/Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) and Neuromuscular diseases/Neurophysiology. I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. I grew up in Long Island, New York, and after receiving my B.S. in Anthropology/Human Biology at Emory University, I attended medical school at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. I completed my residency in Neurology and served as Chief Resident in Neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC. After residency, I completed a fellowship in Neurophysiology also at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYC. I am happily married with 3 children, and enjoy boating, fishing, travel, and fitness. My love of the water led me to begin my career down here in St. Petersburg, Florida. For 11+ years I have practiced general neurology with focus on neuromuscular diseases and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) in private practice. In addition to routine hospital duties, I served a 2 year term as Chief of Medicine at Bayfront Medical Center, a major regional trauma center. Over the last 11+ years in private practice, I have evaluated over 135 retired professional football players (NFL) for closed head injuries and concussion related deficits. Many of these professional athletes are currently in litigation with the NFL, and I have been working with several law firms both in and out-of-state in regards to the concussion suit. Locally, I have worked with student athletes suffering from concussion. As of June 1, 2017, I have narrowed my focus predominantly to expert work as it relates to closed head injury, mild traumatic brain injury, concussion, neuromuscular and spinal injuries. Most of my patients have been involved in automobile or other accidents resulting in head, spinal, and orthopedic injuries.
