Scott Carroll, MD is dual board certified in both child and adolescent psychiatry and general (adult) psychiatry and specializes in pediatric neuropsychiatry and pediatric consultation psychiatry (i.e. treating children with chronic medical conditions from epilepsy to diabetes to cancer). He currently serves as the Director of Child Psychiatric Consultation Services for the Presbyterian Hospital System of New Mexico. After completing his fellowship and residency at the University of New Mexico he served on faculty for over 10 years, rising to the rank of Associate Professor. He is a graduate of the LSU – School of Medicine in New Orleans and MIT. He is also the author of an award winning book on relationships and is currently working on a book for parents on Pediatric Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Carroll has served as expert on cases involving denial of care, psychological effects of medical malpractice, psychiatric malpractice, psychiatric patient abuse and sexual abuse.
