A Licensed Psychologist and Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Heller has more than 35 years experience as a Forensic and Clinical Psychologist. Since 2011, Dr. Heller has served as a staff forensic psychologist for Rutgers Univ Biomedical and Health Services. He is also a consulting forensic psychologist for Rockland County, New York, providing court ordered forensic evaluations for family and Supreme Court judges as well as the Department of Mental Health appointed to child custody and criminal, including murder cases. During his career, Dr. Heller served as the director for a large mental health system for a community of more than 100,000 Native Americans of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, as well as clinical director of the Dutchess County Clinic for the Multi-Disabled in New York that served dual-diagnosed patients with autism spectrum and mental disorders. As adjunct associate professor, he taught courses at Northeastern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Heller provides expert witness consulting services in state, military and federal courts, serving as an expert in psychology, trauma, personal Injury, injured children, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other violent crimes. He also serves as expert witness for evaluating pain and suffering in foster care, group homes, schools, corporations and institutions; as well as negligence, assault and abuse by staff.
